DFCC Bank PLC’s women’s team emerged as Plate Champions at the recently concluded Mercantile Netball League Tournament, reflecting the Bank’s continued emphasis on building strong, connected teams beyond the workplace.
DFCC Bank fielded two teams across both the Women’s and Mixed categories, encouraging broad participation and reinforcing the role of sport in strengthening collaboration, discipline, and shared accountability among employees.
The women’s team, guided by Team Manager Ruwani Weerasinghe and Coach GSD Fernando, and led by Captain Vinuri Ranasinghe, demonstrated consistency and cohesion throughout the tournament. Team members Ashivitha Vickneshwaram, Prathibha Nisansala, Kaveesha Seneviratne, Dulmini Mallawarachchi, Nirasha Dhananji, Samadhi Sri Lakmini, Kavindya Ariyarathne, and Nethmi De Silva contributed to the team’s performance.
